Myth #9: There is only one type, or one correct\ntype, of higher levels of consciousness<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It\u2019s not uncommon to hear people advocating their perspective as the \u201conly\u201d or \u201conly correct\u201d type of higher levels of consciousness. This has led to a lot of conflict over the years between religious and spiritual systems, sub-sects within them, and even individuals.<\/p>

Scientific research has uncovered many different types of higher levels of consciousness that people experience, which are generally shared across the religious, spiritual, and philosophical traditions that have an interest in this area.\u00a0<\/p>

Some, such as Christianity, generally prefer one type. Others such as Buddhism or Hinduism are more complicated and generally consider a range of different types as desirable, with some sub-sects preferring some types over others.<\/p>

Though there are at dozens of types of higher levels of consciousness, most people who experience it will experience one or more of 3 primary types. When fully settled into, they all have the characteristic of being deeply peaceful, present, and lacking that nagging sense of discontentment that plagues the rest of the population.<\/p>

You can also learn more about the different locations, at depth, in this peer-reviewed scientific paper<\/span><\/span><\/a> about them .<\/p>

An important thing to keep in mind is that the type of higher levels of consciousness that is best for you typically relates most strongly to your current stage of life and various commitments. Although any form of higher levels of consciousness is a great place to experience life from, some are most likely more optimal for your life than others.<\/p>

As mentioned in a previous myth, you can be deeply in higher levels of consciousness and conventionally thriving in your life and successful. But this can take some engineering both in how you get there, and what you do once you\u2019re there.<\/p>

For example, those who are retired might want to spend their days experiencing a profound sense of persistent joy and wonder. For those with careers and families, a deeply calm, non-reactive and peaceful state might be more ideal so they can excel in their jobs, and most effectively raise their families. You get the idea.<\/p>

While it\u2019s certainly okay for each Finder or tradition to pick a favorite location, there\u2019s no reason to think that that makes it the \u201cbest location\u201d for everyone. Research actually shows the opposite. Different locations bring different ways of experiencing life. Some are optimal for some things but not for others. The most important thing is to pursue the type or types of it that support your life situation and circumstances.<\/p>
